Living Our Mission: February Highlights
We began 2026 with a renewed energy to live out our mission in an understanding that everything we do is with Christ in our Hearts and Minds.
Feast of the Presentation in the Temple
Year 5 volunteers led a beautiful Celebration of the Word to explain the story of Simeon and Anna meeting the Holy Family in the temple. Through prayer, dance and symbols, the whole school gathered to hear their mission: How can you be patient and trust in God like Simeon?
Candlemas
Simeon took Him in his arms and praised God, saying:“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace.For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.”Luke 2: 28 - 32
Celebrating Ministry
We face challenges with resilience and faith! Just as Jesus asked the Disciples to follow Him, we are taking time to recognise those who go out in ministry to others. We held a sticker event, inviting those who follow Jesus to wear a scripture quote proudly to show their faith.
Still Point Prayers - Every Wednesday
On Wednesdays, we pause to find peace in the middle of busy weeks and open Mission Control for a time of quiet and more spontaneous prayer.

Reflection
February is a busy calendar month this year, as we recognise both the beginning of Jesus' public ministry in Ordinary Time and then prepare for the Lenten Season. We have been guided with light in all we do - a reminder of our faith and trust in Jesus.
With Christ always in our hearts and minds, we continue on our mission:
To face challenges with resilience and faith;
To always love learning;
To be kind and respectful to others.
Jesus spoke to them, saying 'I am the light of the world.' ” — John 8: 12
